Nasdaq
Definition: A computerized securities exchange that deals with over-the-counter stocks and some listed stocks. Nasdaq doesn't have a physical trading floor like the NYSE or AMEX - all trading is done via computer and telephone. Once known by its acronym, National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation system, it is now referred to only as Nasdaq.
