Glossary of Option Terms: Exchange-Traded Option

Exchange-Traded Option

Definition: An option traded on a regulated exchange where the terms are standardized by that exchange.  Contracts are standardized, meaning that the underlying asset, expiration date and strike price are known in advance.  Also known as listed options.
